Jon holds a BSc in Business Management, Teacher training qualification, BASIS and is currently studying for his MSc in Psychology.
Jon is an entrepreneur at heart having set up his first business at 16 years of age, brought up on a family farm, hard work and determination forged his way in agricultural consultancy and agronomy. His passion for the development of people led to the successful Education Training Centre for young people developed in 2009. He has since undertaken property development projects and engaged in politics at local and national levels whilst developing a consultancy business, working with a wide range of sectors from Manufacturing to Technical Developers.
Jon founded Mountain Perspective in 2015, blending business support and the outdoor environment. Today, Mountain Perspective fulfils contracts with local authorities across the West Midlands, Central Government and a wide range of commercial companies. Jon has a passion for making a difference and works with several charities and social enterprises. Engaging in the development of young people is still a priority, Jon is an Enterprise Advisor for Hereford and Ludlow and North Shropshire College, and an Advisor for Young Enterprise.

Senior Project Manager & Executive Coach
Gemma has 25 years experience in coaching and project management which means she understands business and loves people!
With academic qualifications in Design and Project Management (Prince 2), C-me Accreditation and is a PGCert Level 7 qualified mentor and coach, she is a member of the Coaching and Chartered Institute of Waste Management (CIWM).
During her career Gemma has worked within education, teaching, tutoring and developing alternative educational pathways for young people, delivered projects for the police force and local authority. She has managed the delivery of broadband to rural and hard to reach areas, developed a network of community hubs and delivered wellbeing strategies in a number of settings.
She loves networking with a wide range of professionals at all levels. She has developed a wealth of knowledge and skills, giving her an agile and flexible approach to projects and business development.
Gemma currently delivers C-me workshops for MP, she says that leading training and transformation is always a privilege. The C-me profiles not only give a fantastic foundation for a team communication and resilience workshop, they also help individuals understand their behaviour and gain confidence in their strengths. Furthermore, creating self-aware, resilient leaders and managers.
When Gemma is not at MP, she is a Project Manager for local partnerships with the climate team, supporting the Welsh Government on the delivery of their target of zero waste by 2050.
Gemma recently founded the Hereford Business Ladies Lunch, which is a relaxed networking forum for women. Inspired by the effects of the pandemic creating home working and reduced connectivity, paired with the fact that networking events are often not at convenient times for busy working mums. The lunches have been a great success and are a hive of creativity, collaboration and support.
To relax, Gemma loves nothing more than a bit of interior design, a white sandy beach and of course making memories and having fun with her family.
Executive Assistant
Kate joined our team in May 2024, bringing with her 20 years of experience in administration and personal assistance. She thrives in team settings and enjoys the office environment.
After completing her A-Levels, Kate chose the apprentice route and achieved NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Business and Administration, along with qualifications in Word Processing Level 1 and Text Processing Levels 1 and 2. She then went on to complete her NVQ Level 3 in Customer Service.
Kate’s career spans various roles in the training and education sectors, including administration, secretarial, reception, and customer service. She also spent 14 years in the motor trade, where she supported sales administration, finance, compliance, and due diligence.
At Mountain Perspective, Kate excels in client engagement, event scheduling, and general office administration. Outside of work, she is passionate about theatre, performing in productions in Herefordshire. She also enjoys walking and spending quality time with friends and family.
Marketing Assistant
We are excited to welcome the newest member of the Mountain Perspective team, Katie Williams, who joined us as a Marketing Assistant in September 2024.
Katie recently completed her A-Levels in English Literature and Language, Media Studies, and Religious Studies. She is now embarking on her marketing career through an apprenticeship in Multi-Channel Marketing with us through The Development Manager, a company who specialise in apprenticeships.
Before beginning her marketing journey, Katie gained valuable experience as a part-time retail assistant and spent a year as a content creator for Pontypridd United Women’s team. Katie is eager to thrive as she pursues a successful career in marketing, with a particular proficiency in content marketing, social media and holds strong people and social skills.
Outside of work, Katie is a dedicated football enthusiast, having represented Wales at youth level and earning six international caps. Her passion for football is matched by her commitment to her health and well-being. In her downtime, she takes a huge interest in all things philosophy. She also loves to unwind by listening to a great podcast, ideally whilst watching a sunset at the nearest beach!
