The story behind Ladies’ Lunch

Ladies’ Lunch was born from my desire to connect with other businesswomen. The pandemic saw many of us working from home or in much quieter offices. Meetings moved to online and the opportunities to connect, chat, share ideas and laugh together had become scarcer. Traditional networking forums are not generally at convenient times for a busy working Mum, and we all need to eat! So, a Friday lunchtime seemed perfect.

As a coach and wellbeing practitioner, I am very aware of the need for us all to take care of ourselves. Connectivity plays a big part in this, we were built to be connected with others, and not doing so can have a significant impact on your mental health. When we work alone this can be hard as we don’t have the organic connectivity that comes with a busy office. The ladies’ lunches have connected many like-minded women together. Friendships and work connections have developed and are continuing to develop.

Please do come along and share your story with us. Hand out your business cards and let us all know about the fantastic work you are doing, however big or small. Ladies’ Lunch is also ideal for those who work for larger organisations but have found themselves in a smaller office or home working. If you have retired and want to stay connected, come and share your knowledge, we could learn a lot from you.
