The Story Behind Ladies’ Lunch
Ladies’ Lunch was born out of my desire to connect with other businesswomen. During the pandemic, many of us found ourselves working from home or in quieter office settings. Meetings shifted online, and opportunities to connect, chat, and exchange ideas became few and far between. As a busy working mum, I found that traditional networking events were often scheduled at inconvenient times—and we all need to eat! So, I thought, why not come together over a Friday lunch?
As a coach and wellbeing practitioner, I understand how essential it is to prioritise self-care, and human connection is a significant part of that. We are inherently social beings, and isolation can take a toll on our mental health. Without the natural interactions that come from working in a bustling office, it’s easy to feel disconnected. Ladies’ Lunch was created to bridge that gap and provide a space where like-minded women can connect, share experiences, and inspire one another.
Since our first lunch, friendships and professional connections have blossomed. We’ve welcomed women from all walks of life—those running their own businesses, employees from larger organisations adjusting to smaller office setups or remote work, and even retirees who want to stay engaged and share their wealth of knowledge.
So, I encourage you to join us and share your story. Bring along your business cards, tell us about your fantastic work—no matter how big or small—and be part of a growing community of supportive women. Whether you’re looking to expand your professional network, gain inspiration, or simply enjoy good company, Ladies’ Lunch offers a perfect place to connect, laugh, and learn together.
